Even with the surge in popularity of Whoville and Dr. Seuss with the movie “Horton Hears a Who”, costumes of the beloved Whoville characters are not the easiest to find.

Cindy Lou Who, a favorite of little girls everywhere is amongst the most difficult to find. Other popular costume requests are the Mayor of Whoville, his wife, Mama Who, Grandma and Grandpa, Boo Who and Danny Who. Of course, there is always the Grinch, who is a classic.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to find any of these costumes other than the Grinch. If you do come across these popular costumes, it would be very costly to purchase or even rent them so many are trying their hand at making their own costumes. Use images from the movie to start.

Remember that everything is very bright and big like big polka dots and big hair and hats. A trip to your local thrift stores or consignment shops is probably the best way to come up with some of the exaggerated looks that one would find in Whoville.
