Where’s the ghoul and gare? Halloween is all about blood and gore, right? I know that it’s still half a year away yet, but that doesn’t mean I’m not really excited by the idea of dressing up like an axe murderer for pleasure. Halloween costumes are the best excuse for going all-out when it comes to dressing up; clearly enough reason in itself to inject a little creativity into your life. But where’s the blood and guts? Also, I like trying on all the best-made Halloween goodies and going crazy with life-like latex scars and what not, spending afternoons of trying on endless varieties of the perfect scary mask and marvelling over the genius of Jackson’s Thriller video at least once a month, but I love the make-shift, home-made costumes much more. Ghosts dressed in white bedsheets always get my vote and tomato ketchup stains to create fake blood are even better. Bring back those mothers who tell us that wearing a bin liner turns you into a witch! I hope when I click back on they’ll be a little more blood to choose from.
