The 1980’s showed a surge in werewolf movies beginning with The Howling that was filled with plenty of horror and some comedy thrown in to make it not just for those who like the scary movies. Awesome special effects make this far better than all of the attempts at a sequel.

Of course, An American Werewolf in London, filled with amazing special effects tops the charts of favorite werewolf movies of all time. Again, a werewolf movie with added comedy made this a favorite of many viewers, not just those that love horror movies.

Wolfen brought a different type of werewolf movie to the scene bringing fascinating horror inspired by legends of American Indian shape-shifters, making this one of the most imaginative and somewhat intelligent werewolf films.

Wolf is another of these more imaginative werewolf movies that is high on the list of fantastic ones, thanks mainly to the amazing acting skill of Jack Nicholson. A key factor in all werewolf movies is the special effects and make up and the subtle yet stunning changes in Nicholson’s character make this film a bit more realistic than the rest.

Most true lovers of vampire movies will agree that not much can top the German silent classic from 1922 called Nosferatu. Many consider this the scariest Dracula taken from Bram Stoker’s novel. Count Orlok, the rodent like vampire played by Max Schreck, is the most animalistic portrayal of a vampire ever made.At the same time, many more modern vampire lovers will argue that Blade, the only African American half vampire was a far better film, filled with action and intrigue.

The many adaptations of Dracula make choosing the best quite difficult as it is a story that has been portrayed so many times in various ways it is hard to pick a favorite.

Most vampire movie buffs would also include the Night Stalker as one of the best vampire films with reporter Carl Kolchak taking on a vampire loose in Las Vegas all on his own.

Brad Pitt as a vampire was sure to be a hit in Interview with a Vampire and with a very different story line that most common vampire movies it would have to be considered one of the best.

Ever since the showing of the 1922 silent film Nosferatu, vampires have been shunned to the cover of darkness.  Every vampire film since has taken it’s cue from this horror masterpiece.  I still find this vamp to be absolutely horrifying.

Monster Quest and the History Channel have began studying yet another new so called monster that no one can seem to identify. Sightings and attacks have been found all around the United Kingdom and although it seems to be a large cat of some kind like a puma or a cougar, it does not really match the characteristics of these animals. For one thing, there is the matter of the tail which is unusually long.

Most reports show that the creature always goes for the throat violently when it attacks and it can jump a six foot fence with ease. Many believe that this is not some new mythical creature at all but is in fact merely a wild cat that had been living in captivity and due to new laws was release back into the wild.

Due to the frequent attacks to livestock in the 80’s, the English Government has even gone so far as to send out the Marines into the wilderness to find and kill this beast. Although there were a few alleged sightings, no one was actually able to shoot and kill the beast for further study and finally they gave up.

Is the Chupacabra real?  Recent video evidence is pointing to yes!  At first glance I thought this was a pitt bull running, but with a closer look you can see a snout.  I’ve never met a dog with a snout.  Texas locals including a deputy in training believe it to be the infamous Chupacabra monster.

This is one of the most interesting and creepy videos I have seen in awhile.  This ghostly video show a high speed car chase of the Garden City P.D. and what they refer to as the Ghost Car.

The Ghost Car swerves and weaves in and out of traffic.  The driver is “like a man possessed” and all hell breaks loose.
