The 50’s aren’t even a memory of most people who dress up for Halloween anymore but thanks to the popularity of the movie Grease, people still think about that decade fondly, even if they weren’t there. If you want to dress up like a Grease character for Halloween, it’s not that difficult to do.
Sandy’s costume can be made quite easily from:
A white short sleeve blouse
Pale yellow waistcoat
A long flared yellow skirt (use a crinoline to make it puffy)
White socks
White tennis shoes
Ponytail style blonde wig
Mascara, pale pink lipstick
If you want to dress like Danny, here’s what you’ll need:
A black jacket
A black t-shirt
Black pants
White socks
Black shoes
A 1950s-style black wig
Black sunglasses
Easy! You’ll look like you came straight out of the 50s in no time, and for very little money.
The Notting Hill Carnival is a huge event with hundreds of participants that spend months working on costumes to go with the music and dance of the day. The show offers everything from small groups to international teams the perform all over throughout the year. Bands at Carnival must have at least 30 people in costume. The team will focus on a theme that they will base their performance on.
