Renaissance Fairs can be found all over the country portraying arts, entertainment, food and culture of the 17th century. Unlike most fairs, the Renaissance Fair involves the people who are attending the fair, much more than others including the way they dress to go to the fair.
Renaissance costumes are a huge part of the fair environment and huge sums of money can be spent for authentic looking clothing to look the part for the fair.
Women dress in elaborate gowns made of velvet and silk while men dress in long pants with high boots and flowing shirts. Many include vests and there are hundreds of accessories for both men and women like armor, hats, belts, pouches to carry things in and veils and scarves. There are also many patterns available to make your own Renaissance costumes.
